Remote Psychiatric Pharmacist – Licensed in Colorado

The Health Pals Company is seeking a Part Time Remote Psychiatric Pharmacist who can work 5 to 15 hours a week.

EDUCATION

Must possess a Pharm.D. from an accredited School of Pharmacy

QUALIFICATIONS

Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Colorado

EXPERIENCE

Must have at least 5 years of experience in any of the following settings:

• Retail Pharmacy
• Community Pharmacy
• Hospital Pharmacy
• Long Term Care Pharmacy
• Mail Order Pharmacy
• Specialty Pharmacy

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be considered for this job, the Pharmacist must be able to fulfill the following requirements:

• Possess strong inbound and outbound telephonic skills, or ability to quickly learn
• Verifies prescriptions for accuracy, while maintaining an error rate that is much lower than industry standards;
• Evaluates patient histories and performs drug utilization review
• Interprets physicians’ orders on medications
• Creates, accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from the computer system and verifies whether the order is accurate
• Consults with customers, patients and / or physicians regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions
• Analyzes and investigates concerns using our Quality Management System
• Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise
• Provides health education and coaches patients, customers, physicians, and consumers on treatment alternatives to assist them in best decision making
• Identifies problems or gaps in care offering opportunity for intervention
• Takes in-bound calls and / or places out-bound calls as dictated by consumer and business needs
• Exhibit excellent clinical skills and judgement
• Display efficient written and verbal communication skills
• Be capable of working under pressure and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
• Be a great team player
• Be capable of utilizing computers and patient databases for clinical management purposes
• Be capable of typing at least 50 words per minute
• Be proficient in the following Software:
